Trusted Green Charging is a co-innovation project by Digital Hub Mobility and its partners SAP, Infineon, Energy Web, ChargeX, TRONITY und bloXmove.

How can corporates contribute to supplying the growing electric fleet with locally generated energy and at the same time advance their sustainability? How can sustainable charging behavior at office buildings be incentivized and what prerequisites have to be met to enable bidirectional charging in the future? 

The answers to these questions lie in the integration of local energy generation and charging infrastructure. To be widely implemented, the billing and carbon accounting of local energy trading has to be digital, transparent and tamperproof. To solve this challenge, we teamed up with our partners and started "Trusted Green Charging" as part of the co-innovation format citizen mobility. Together we built a prototype which allows charging sessions to be managed and audited via a blockchain connecting the digital identities of all involved machine assets. Most importantly we provide a proof of origin for the share of locally generated solar power and saved CO2. In that way we make renewable energy generated at office buildings tradeable and traceable, we enable sustainable charging behavior and we make corporate sustainability reporting more efficient.

Last Monday we presented the results and the prototype of the Trusted Green Charging initiative together with all project partners: SAP, Infineon, Energy Web, TRONITY, ChargeX and Digital Hub Mobility by UnternehmerTUM.
